Poetry within Cholula
Standing stones in ancient circles
Alchemists build sacred space
Pyramid to solar systems
Soul to sun
From human race
Heed the warning, lunar calling
Cool aquatic feeding light
Turn towards the uncreated
Flee the hungry eye of night
Him and Her (for Battle of the Sexes)
Silencing calls, that question my worth
Heart in a spin, migrating from earth
Finished the goose chase, end of the line
To planet piano bar; long legs and wine
I’ll read the news, it says you should go
High on the wheel, get set for the low
Call me a taxi: never a fool
I’m off to the city, starting anew
Think I’m a punk? Letting off steam!
Head in the stars? Living the dream!
Distance at light speed? Less than a year!
Getting the message? Sent it by meteor!

Half Way Mirror (for She’s Waiting)
I found a windows glazed reflection
Condensation across the glass
The mist seemed not upon my side
I made a tunnel with my hands
I could see no prey in the predator’s eye
Gates closed on the hunter’s path
Spirits; risen on the moor
Chased the beaters from the heather
Sophistry had lost its way
Along the vista; jocund life
Beams of bright contrition light
Searching for the darkest places…

Spinning World (for Made For Girls)
From restless night, to winter delight
Out for an early risers stroll
Dark though the hour, I’m able to see
Moon light illuminates ways before me
Frost on ground; assisting sight
Low to the left, hill to the right
As I walk the line between
Foot step, heartbeat, numinous silence
I become part of all that surrounds
Visible breath; a symbol of life
Breathing in the cold clean air
Stretching the boundaries of my mind…
